2nd Annual Shades for Sage hosted at the Club

On Friday, July 28, 2017, the Club was honored to host the second annual Shades for Sage event.  With nearly 375 attendees, the event was a huge success and a great opportunity to raise funds and create awareness for Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, an inherited mitochondrial disease causing people to go blind.  Sage Lyons, son of Jennifer Lyons (staff member and tennis professional at ACA),  was diagnosed with this disease in 2015.  This fundraiser was hosted by his sister Lee Lyons and many additional family members and friends.

“1 in 100 people are affected by Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy in a year. Due to its rarity, there is alack of funds, education, and research. Shades for Sage supports the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation in their mission to find a cure and change the lives of those affected.”
